Cheetahs name team for Currie Cup opener

Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs coach Rory Duncan has announced his team for Friday night’s Currie Cup opener against the Sharks in Bloemfontein (19:00 kick-off).

Duncan will coach the team after Free State Rugby announced week that Duncan, previously the union’s director of rugby, will be the new head coach of the Cheetahs.

He swaps roles with Franco Smith, who is now the director of rugby.

The referee for the game is Jadezweni Cwengile, who will be assisted by Jaco Pretorius and Jaco Kotze. The television match official (TMO) is JJ Wagner.
