The final at Kings Park will be the eighth time the teams meet in a Currie Cup finale, dating back to the first final contested in 1939.

Western Province hold a 4-3 advantage over the Sharks in finals, but the Durbanites have been installed as favourites this weekend.

Local bookies, BET.co.za, have predicted a narrow victory for the home side, offering odds of 11/20 on a Sharks victory.

WP can be backed at 31/20, while the draw is available at 25/1.

In handicap terms, the Sharks are 5.5-point favourites.

The visiting WP team will take confidence from the fact that they won 31-20 at Kings Park two weeks ago.

Kick-off is at 16:00.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...
