Triple injury blow for Sharks

Cape Town - The Sharks are sweating over the availability of three players who were injured in their Currie Cup loss to the Pumas in Nelspruit last Friday.

Props Lourens Adriaanse and Thomas du Toit and loose forward Jean-Luc du Preez sustained blows during the Sharks’ 33-24 defeat and could be sidelined for some time.

"Unfortunately Lourens Adriaanse has hurt his shoulder, Thomas du Toit has hurt his ankle, and Jean-Luc du Preez has hurt his leg,” Director of Rugby Gary Gold said in a post match press-conference.

"It’s tough when it goes like that against a very good team like the Pumas. I think they will be a difficult team to beat at home for anyone."

The Sharks next host the EP Kings in Durban this Saturday (17:05 kick-off).
