Sharks suffer Kleinhans blow

Durban - After a disappointing loss against the Pumas this past weekend, the Cell C Sharks are hard at work and are determined to display a more positive performance against the Griquas at Kings Park on Saturday.

Sharks website editor Michael Marnewick reports that Alan Kourie, team doctor to the Sharks, has released a medical update on Francois Kleinhans, JC Astle and Etienne Oosthuizen ahead of this weekend’s match,

Kleinhans will be out of action for approximately eight weeks with a broken hand while Astle has been diagnosed with a hamstring strain and will spend three weeks on the sidelines.

Oosthuizen has an ankle niggle and a fitness call on his availability for Saturday's match be made later in the week.

With a relatively new squad and with enforced changes due to injuries, opportunities will certainly be presented to the youngsters in our system.

There is great team spirit and energy amongst the players and they are looking forward to the clash on Saturday.
