Sharks make four changes

2011-10-06 13:59

Johannesburg - Sharks coach John Plumtree announced four changes to the side that will play the Leopards in Saturday's Currie Cup rugby match in Phokeng, near Rustenburg.

Gouws Prinsloo moves into the starting XV in the place of fullback Stefan Terblanche, who moves to the bench.

Terblanche could become the first South African player to win 100 caps in both the Currie Cup and Super Rugby.

Adrian Jacobs will receive a starting berth at outside centre in the place of Marius Joubert.

Meyer Bosman, who played at flyhalf in last week's match against Western Province, will combine with Jacobs in the midfield, with Frederic Michalak replacing him as pivot.

I enjoy your energy on the bok posts, but on the sharks its just wasted!

      Harold - 2011-10-06 14:21

I agree. Sharks have a better chance of winning the CC than Boks winning the WC.

      Anneleen - 2011-10-06 14:26

@Zip23...thanks for your reply! I fervently hope the Sharks can dish up an "energising" performance this weekend...!

Anneleen... you're a robot. Just admit it. A machine sent back from the future to instill some positive energy into humanity to prevent its imminent collapse. JUST ADMIT IT WE WONT HATE YOU

      Anneleen - 2011-10-06 16:28

      @InternetMan...i, robot...beedy, beedy, beep...

      InternetMan - 2011-10-06 16:38

I knew it. Just so you know: I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords.

Here's an idea. Move Freddie to scrumhalf where he used to play and Hoffman to flyhalf where he played for the Bokke. I rate Ross Cronje ahead of Hoffmann anyday.

WTF... Conrad Hoffman played flyhalf for the Boks.... who knew??? Actually, the closest he got to playing (in any position) for the Boks, was playing for SA U/19 in the 2006 U/19 World Cup. He was also drafted into the SA 7's side in the same year, but broke his arm before playing a game.

Sharks better catch a wake up and soon. I don't think they played bad against province and province played extremely well but we need to start winning every game. If province beat the Lions and we beat the Lions we could end up at number 1 on the log. However the way we are playing lately doesn't make us deserve the spot. Go Sharks we need 5 point from this game.

that's great ....... now if only they can catch the ball when it gets passed to them!

Stefan Terblanche moet maar sy kombersie saam vat vir sy bene, hy's nie gewoond om so laat buite te wees nie,by die ouetehuis moet hy al 6uur binne wees.

Hmmm.... at least we should win this one with enough confidence for the next three games....
