Pretoria - Blue Bulls wing Travis Ismaiel has been ruled out of this weekend's Absa Currie Cup match against the Sharks after sustaining a knee injury in Saturday's loss to the Golden Lions.
Ismaiel, who scored his first Currie Cup try, will be out of action for at least two weeks.
Meanwhile, Akona Ndungane has been declared fit following a hamstring strain and will train on Monday.
According to the Blue Bulls team doctor, Org Strauss, Ismaiel was the only casualty from the Lions clash.
Tony Jantjies (back), Jacques du Plessis (finger) and Francois Venter (shoulder) will only train on Wednesday, as will Frik Kirsten, who missed the last two matches due to an ankle injury.
Callie Visagie has also been ruled out for six weeks following a scan on his ankle and he will join Jean Cook (broken thumb) on the sidelines.
Basil Short (knee), Francois Hougaard (ankle), Cornell Hess (knee), Deon Stegmann (shoulder), Arno Botha (knee), Pierre Spies (bicep) and Louis Fouche’ (knee) remain long term injuries.
The Bulls, coming off a 62-23 mauling at the hands of the Lions, currently occupy bottom spot in the standings.
Their match against the Sharks in Durban will kick-off at 17:05 on Saturday.
