Namibian hooker on Cheetahs bench

Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs coach Franco Smith has named his team for their Currie Cup semi-final clash against the Golden Lions at Ellis Park in Johannesburg on Saturday (13:45 kick-off).

Smith has made one change to his starting team from last weekend’s 34-34 home draw to the Sharks.

Niel Marais will start at flyhalf, with Sias Ebersohn dropping down to the bench.

On  the bench, hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld is back after doing duty for Namibia in the Rugby World Cup and replaces Neil Rautenbach in the No 16 jersey.

Prop Maks van Dyk has also been declared fit and replaces Teunis Nieuwoudt as a reserve, while Freddy Ngoza makes space for AJ Coertzen on the bench.
