Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs coach Naka Drotské expects flank Heinrich Brüssow to come out all guns blazing against Western Province in Bloemfontein on Saturday night.
The Springbok fetcher hasn't played for two months since injuring his knee against the Sharks in Super Rugby.
Drotské told Volksblad his player is hungry to impress and fight for a spot in the Springbok team.
In the game against the Sharks in Durban, Brüssow was impressive on the ground, helping the Cheetahs take a 15-6 half-time lead. However, when they came out in the second half without Brüssow they ended up losing 34-15.
"In the last game Heins played in Durban, he was brilliant in the first half. He's a guy that makes his presence felt. He is very physical and wants to prove a point to get back into the Bok team," said Drotské.
He might have his work cut out against WP skipper Deon Fourie though. Fourie, normally a hooker, has impressed at flank thus far in this year's Currie Cup, and alongside Cheetahs centre Robert Ebersohn, he's turned over the most possession so far in the Currie Cup.
The Cheetahs are currently third on the overall log with 10 points, while WP are second on 11.
The clash at the Free State Stadium kicks off at 19:10.
