Lions shuffle backline for WP

Johannesburg - Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has made several changes to his starting line-up for their Currie Cup clash against Western Province at Newlands on Saturday.

The majority of the changes are among the backs where Michael Bondesio returns after an injury layoff to start at scrumhalf.

At flyhalf, Marnitz Boshoff will take the place of the injured Elton Jantjies, while Lionel Cronjé and Lionel Mapoe will pair up in the midfield at 12 and 13 respectively.

Chrysander Botha also returns from injury and will start at wing, with Andries Coetzee shifting to fullback.

Up front, lock Willie Britz has been promoted from the bench.
