Lions bench Elton Jantjies

Johannesburg - Lions coach Johan Ackermann on Wednesday announced his team to take on the Cheetahs in their opening Currie Cup encounter at Ellis Park on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 15:00.

Ackermann opted for Marnitz Boshoff at flyhalf, while Elton Jantjies was named on the bench.

Jantjies started in their 23-18 promotion-relegation loss at home to the Kings last week which saw them regain their Super Rugby status courtesy of a superior points difference, having won 26-19 in PE the previous week.
