Kaplan to referee Sharks v WP

Cape Town - Jonathan Kaplan will referee the table-topping Currie Cup decider between the Sharks and defending champions Western Province in Durban on Saturday.

Kick-off is at 19:10.

WP currently top the log with 33 points, a single point ahead of the Sharks.

Regardless of the result, both teams have already secured a home semi-final for the following week's matches.

Saturday's other matches will be refereed by Jaco Peyper (Golden Lions v Griquas - 15:00) and Marius Jonker (Free State Cheetahs v Blue Bulls - 17:05).

Friday's Currie Cup First Division final (19:10) between the Pumas and EP Kings at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit will be handled by Craig Joubert.
