Jantjies at pivot for WP clash

Johannesburg - Golden Lions coach Johan Ackermann has announced his team to face Western Province in a Currie Cup clash at Ellis Park on Friday (19:10 kick-off).

There are a handful of changes to the team that thumped the Blue Bulls 62-23 in Pretoria last weekend.

In the backline, Elton Janties will start at flyhalf with Marnitz Boshoff shifting to fullback. Chrysander Botha drops out of the match-day side due to a hamstring injury.

Among the forwards, prop CJ van der Linde will start ahead of Jacques van Rooyen, while an injury to Chris van Zyl sees Willie Britz shift into the lock position.

Meanwhile, loosies Warwick Tecklenburg and Lambert Groenewald are promoted to the starting side.

On the bench, Hugo Kloppers, JJ Breedt and Andries Coetzee are all new inclusions.
