Hearing set for Griquas 'biter'

Cape Town - The disciplinary hearing for Griquas lock Rory Arnold will be held at SARU’s offices in Plattekloof, Cape Town, on Tuesday, September 3 at 13:00.

Arnold, 23, received a red card in the 63rd minute of their Absa Currie Cup clash against the Free State Cheetahs on Saturday for allegedly biting an opposition player therefore transgressing law 10.4 (m).

Peter Ingwersen has been appointed as the Judicial Officer.

The Cheetahs won the match 40-20 and moved into second place in the latest Currie Cup standings.

Griquas find themselves in fifth after four rounds of matches.
