Bloemfontein - The Cheetahs have picked up their second prop in just over a week after they signed a two year deal with Lions prop Caylib Oosthuizen to join them from the end of the season.
According to the supersport.com website, Oosthuizen becomes the second Lions prop in two days to announce he is leaving the union, this after Jacobie Adriaanse announced he was joining Welsh club Scarletts from the end of the season.
Oosthuizen, who was highly rated by Lions coach John Mitchell before his suspension, will now fall under the tutelage of Bok legend Os du Randt, and will join Rossouw de Klerk, who signed for the Cheetahs just over a week ago.
Naka Drotské’s team were looking for replacements after they lost WP Nel to Edinburgh and Marcel van der Merwe to the Blue Bulls and now have two top class up and coming players to take their place.
The former SA Schools and SA Under-19 prop made his Super Rugby debut this year and will be a welcome addition to the Cheetahs ranks.
