Catrakilis back in WP fray

Cape Town - Allister Coetzee on Wednesday named his team to take on the Lions at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday. Kick-off is at 17:05.

In the first of a number of changes, Conrad Jantjes reclaims the No 15 jersey after Heinrich Steyl was ruled out for the rest of the season last weekend with a broken leg.

Demetri Catrakilis returns from injury and takes over at flyhalf from Lionel Cronje who falls out of the match 22.

Dewaldt Duvenage who still has a toe injury is bracketed with Nick Groom, while Louis Schreuder provides cover off the bench. Should Duvenage not pass a late fitness test, Groom will start with Schreuder on the bench.

Nick Koster returns at the back of the scrum with Nizaam Carr dropping down to the bench.

Coetzee opted for a 5/2 split on the bench with Hilton Lobberts returning from a lay-off and forwards Deon Fourie, Frans Malherbe, Pieter Louw and Nizaam Carr all included along with backs Groom/Schreuder and Johann Sadie.

As a result Tertius Daniller falls out of the match 22.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
