Bulls duo to miss training

Pretoria - Bulls players Callie Visagie and Marcel van der Merwe will both miss training this week, as the team prepares for its opening Currie Cup match against the Lions in Johannesburg on August 9.

Prop Van der Merwe has a foot injury, while hooker Visagie has a back strain.

Roelof Smit has responded well to treatment for a quad strain and will be able to train on Thursday, Bulls team doctor Org Strauss confirmed.

Bjorn Basson (ankle) and Jacques du Plessis (jaw) were also recovering well.
