Bok trio to start for Cheetahs

Cape Town - Free State Cheetahs coach Rory Duncan has named his team to tackle the Golden Lions in a Currie Cup clash in Johannesburg on Saturday (15:00 kick-off).

Duncan has picked three returning Springboks - flank Teboho "Oupa" Mohoje, lock Lood de Jager and prop Trevor Nyakane - in his starting team.

The trio was part of the Springboks' Rugby Championship campaign but because they are not contracted Boks, they are allowed to play Currie Cup.

Contracted Springboks who the Cheetahs were not allowed to pick are fullback Willie le Roux, wing Cornal Hendricks, prop Coenie Oosthuizen and hooker Adriaan Strauss.

For the Cheetahs to make the semi-finals, they must beat the Lions and hope the Blue Bulls lose at home to Griquas.
