SA Legends haul out big guns

Cape Town - The Elan SA Rugby Legends have hauled out some big guns for the 2010 Castle Cape Town Tens - which includes Saturday's game against the International Legends at the Cape Town Stadium.

Former Springboks Charl Marais, Robbie Kempson, AJ Venter, Dave von Hoesslin, Braam van Straaten, Louis Koen, Breyton Paulse and Justin Swart will all be lining up for John Allan's friendly bunch of fund-raising legends.

Ex-provincial stalwarts like Ryan Strudwick, Barry Pinnock, Bennie Nortjé, Jan-Harm van Wyk, Quintin Daniels and Marc Watson will add plenty of grunt and pace (probably more of the former!), but it is great to have them back in the mix - as you cannot host a tournament of this nature without the very popular SA Rugby Legends.

Allan, the CEO of the SA Rugby Legends (Sarla), will serve as the head coach - why not, he picks the squad?! - and he will be backed up by the legendary blond bombshell Rob Louw and former Bok centre Pieter Müller.

Of course, whilst they will no doubt be giving their all this weekend, both on and off the pitch, the SA Legends will be fighting for honour on Saturday afternoon when they come against the similarly star-studded International Legends team at the Cape Town Stadium - all of which forms part of the Cape Town Rugby Festival.

That match, which is not to be missed and will be played in front of a crowd of 40 000 fans at the Cape Town Stadium, kicks-off at 3pm - with the Stormers-Boland game getting underway at 4pm.
