Baby Boks call up Kirsten

Cape Town - The SARU national selectors have called up uks lock Jannes Kirsten as replacement for Marvin Orie who will miss the three-match tour of the SA Under-20 training squad to Argentina because of injury.

The SA U-20’s travel to Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

Orie, who captained the SA U-20 hopefuls in their training matches earlier this year, has been ruled out of action for up to three months after he suffered a broken leg on Monday while playing for Tuks against Maties in the Varsity Cup final in Stellenbosch.

The former Tygerberg High School pupil was the leading candidate to captain the SA U-20 team during the Junior World Championship in France.

Kirsten has also represented the Blue Bulls in the Vodacom Cup competition.
