Cape Town - Norway's Magnus Carlsen took around three weeks to win the final of the World Chess Championships against America's Fabiano Caruana.
The contest ended on Wednesday after the two players had drawn 12 matches in a row.
As a result, the final went to a rapid-fire tiebreak, which Carlsen won 3-0.
It is Carlsen's third World Chess Championship title in as many tournaments.
