Cape Town - It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these FOUR events!

1. Rugby World Cup Sevens

We're in San Francisco for the Rugby World Cup Sevens!

South Africa have never won the tournament, but the odds might be in our favour this year...

The Springbok Sevens women's side have a point to prove, as they'll be hoping to improve on their Commonwealth Games showing.

Meanwhile, the Blitzboks are favourites after securing the 2017/18 World Rugby Sevens Series title.

2. Open Championship

It's the third Major of the year!

All eyes will be on the biggest names in golf as they hit the links at Carnoustie.

Will Jordan Spieth defend his title and lift the famed Claret Jug?

Or will any of the 12 South Africans in the field make their mark on the biggest stage in golf?

It's a must-watch this weekend.

3. Proteas v Sri Lanka

The Proteas are in deep trouble in Sri Lanka as they trail the two-match Test series 1-0.

Faf du Plessis and his men were troubled by the Sri Lankan spinners in the first Test and heading into Colombo, the South African batsmen will hope to restore their reputations.

Can the Proteas bounce back and level the series?

Play gets under way at 06:30 SA time.

We first travel to Christchurch, where the defending champion Crusaders take on our very own Sharks (09:35 SA time).

Then we're in Sydney as the Waratahs battle the Highlanders (12:05 SA time) and we end off in Johannesburg, where the Lions take on the Jaguares at Ellis Park (15:05 SA time).

Who will reign supreme? Will we see any upsets? All these questions and more will be answered on Sport24...
