Top 4 must-watch weekend sporting events

Cape Town - It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these FOUR events!

1. BRITISH & IRISH LIONS V ALL BLACKS

It's the series the rugby world has been waiting for!

The world champion All Blacks and British & Irish Lions will clash in the first of their three Tests at Eden Park in Auckland.

Will Warren Gatland's side fulfill the hardest task in world rugby by beating the All Blacks?!

We'll have to wait and see...

Kick-off on Saturday is at 09:35 SA time.

2. SPRINGBOKS V FRANCE, 3RD TEST

The Springboks have sealed the series and head into Saturday's 'dead-rubber' against the French looking to end their Ellis Park duck.

Let's hope the boys can turn that piece of history around.

3. PROTEAS V ENGLAND T20s

Stand-in T20 skipper AB de Villiers will be needing to bounce back after their hiding in the first T20 in Southamtpon.

They now take on a confident English unit at Taunton (Friday, 18:00 SA time) to hopefully level the series.

And whatever happens they'll be looking for a win in the third T20 (Sunday, 15:30 SA time) ahead of the four-Test series against England.

4. NEDBANK CUP FINAL

SuperSport United and Orlando Pirates will meet in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

For the Tshwane side, the game is a chance to give their coach Stuart Baxter the perfect send-off as he moves on to officially join Bafana Bafana.

Meanwhile, Kjell Jonevret is only four months into the job and landing the trophy could do wonders for the Buccaneers.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 20:15 SA time.
