Top 3 must-watch weekend sporting events

Cape Town - It's the weekend!

But the sporting world never sleeps, so hang on tight and be sure to watch these THREE events!

1. Sevens 

We're in London for the penultimate leg of the World Rugby Sevens Series!

The Blitzboks are trailing the Fijians on the standings and are desperately searching for a win in order to maintain the title.

The Cup final kicks-off on Sunday at 18:57 (SA time) with the Blitzboks hopefully featuring.

2. French Open

We're in Paris!

South Africa's Kevin Anderson is in action this weekend when he takes on Germany's Mischa Zverev in the the third round on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Raven Klaasen and his doubles partner from New Zealand Michael Venus will also play in their third round match against Alexander Peya and Nikola Mektic on Saturday.

Other star-studded matches on Saturday include defending champion and world No 1 Rafael Nadal taking on home boy Richard Gasquet and Russia's Maria Sharapova battling former world No 1 Karolína Plíšková.

All matches get underway at 11:00 SA time.

3. Springboks v Wales

Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium is the setting as the Springboks open their 2018 campaign against the Welsh.

The Boks new coach Rassie Erasmus and skipper Pieter-Steph du Toit are eager to get off to a flying start in their once-off Test in Washington DC. 

Kick-off on Saturday is at 23:00 SA time.
