SA baseball sensation hits 'home run', gets ENGAGED!

Cape Town - South African baseball sensation Gift Ngoepe is engaged and has shared his proposal on social media.

The 28-year-old, who made waves last year by becoming the first African to play in a Major League Baseball (MLB) game, is engaged to television producer Cait Anderson

The couple shared the news on their Instagram pages this week, with a series of photographs documenting the occasion.

Ngoepe made his MLB debut Pittsburgh Pirates in 2017, but he is currently contracted to the Toronto Blue Jays

Ngoepe is yet to hit a home run in MLB.
