Daily sports briefs | Mike Tyson set for the 'most expensive one-punch fight in history'? NFL star caught in the act - and more!

Sonny Bill Williams

IRON MIKE SET TO FIGHT SONNY BILL

We have been hearing plenty of talk about a possible Mike Tyson comeback but until now, no word of a possible opponent. There was some speculation that Tyson would line up against his old foe Evander Holyfield who has also teased about a comeback. The latest and greatest? Sports fans will be excited to hear that part time boxer and rugby legend Sonny Bill Williams is apparently stepping up to the plate. Some may remember Sonny Bill and Fransie Botha squaring off in the ring in 2013 - a fight in which Sonny Bill farcically won on points after the number of rounds were reduced ... MID FIGHT!

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: I would bet the house on a Mike Tyson KO win in the first round. One big request though ... could Owen Farrell please be his next opponent!!

SPEAKING OF TYSON ... HOW ABOUT $20M FOR A BARE KNUCKLE FIGHT

Apparently Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship president David Feldman has offered Mike Tyson a guaranteed $20m to fight an opponent of his choice (from anyone currently signed with his promotion). Feldman confirmed the offer to Heavy.com and also mentioned the possibility of Tyson working with the promotion in some shape or form in the future.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: That could theoretically work out to be $20m for one punch ... making it the most expensive punch in history. Now if we could just start a collection in South Africa to get Farrell into THAT fight ...

NFL STAR CAUGHT IN THE ACT

Baltimore Ravens star Earl Thomas is lucky to be alive after his wife caught him bed with "other women" ... and his brother! After tracking him down via snapchat, Thomas' wife Nina pointed a loaded gun at him before he managed to wrestle it away. Thomas brushed off the "incident" with the following comment on Instagram: “Stuff like this happens, bro. We’re trying to live the best life we possibly can, but sometimes it doesn’t go as planned.”

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Whether you consider him lucky or unlucky is subject to personal opinion. One thing to note, his wife apparently had taken out the magazine and therefore mistakenly thought the gun could not fire ... but was unaware that there was another round in the chamber. This one could have ended in tears.
