Tiger Woods

TIGER HOSTS MASTERS CHAMPIONS DINNER ... AT HOME!

Good to see Tiger Woods not letting the coronavirus induced lockdown prevent him from maintaining golfing traditions, as he hosted a mock Masters' Champions Dinner at home with his family. Tradition has it that the previous year's champion hosts a dinner with a menu of his choosing at Augusta on the eve of the tournament.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Yes ... that is indeed a golf course/practice facility in his back yard! Tiger has a 3-hole course at his home so lockdown shouldn't be much of a problem for him!

ENGLISH RUGBY WRITER SNUBS BOKS ... WE ARE NOT SURPRISED!

Couldn't help but laugh at English rugby writer Stephen Jones' selections for top ten best rugby teams of all time. If it hadn't come from the typically biased British media we would have taken it more seriously. Only 2 Bok teams made the top ten, the '97/98 Boks in at 5th and the 2019 World Cup winners in at 10th! LOL. Unsurprisingly, the English came in with 3 teams despite only winning one world cup. Our 2007 World Cup winning Bok team and the 2009 team that defeated the Lions and won the Tri-Nations beating the All Blacks three times failed to make it ... while England's 2016 team were deemed better than the above mentioned. Yep, a team that included Os, Matfield, Bakkies, Schalk, Fourie du Preez, Habana, Jacques Fourie didn't even make the top 10!

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Do we sound bitter? Maybe, but particularly during this lockdown we would love to know what Jones has in his pipe?? Send us your thoughts.

SPECIAL RULES FOR THE SPECIAL ONE??

Apparently the Spurs hierarchy were left unimpressed by Jose Mourinho organising a training session with Tanguy Ndombele on Hadley Common, while Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon were pictured running together through the same London park. This led to the club releasing a statement: "All of our players have been reminded to respect social distancing when exercising outdoors. We shall continue to reinforce this message."

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: Does the "Special One" think that the rules don't apply to him?

US SPORTS THINKING OUT OF THE BOX

We heard yesterday that UFC boss Dana White was in the process of securing a private island in order to host UFC bouts every weekend. We thought that was a pretty creative, and ambitious attempt to get around the Covid-19 social distancing rules and it may work well if done properly and safely. News out the MLB is considering a plan dictating that all 30 teams play games with no fans at stadiums in the Phoenix area, including the Arizona Diamondbacks' field, 10 spring training facilities and  other nearby fields, has been met with approval by players and officials. That would mean no dangerous travel, good weather and the ability for more games to be played in a shorter space of time.

MYTWOCENTS VERDICT: With all the money out there in sports, we predict that you will start to see more and more creativity in arranging for sports seasons to be started/completed.
