Rome - Ukrainian swimmer Andriy Govorov set a new world record for the men's 50m butterfly with a time of 22.27 at a meeting at Rome on Sunday.
The 26-year-old set the record in a 50m pool and beat the previous record of 22.43 established by Spain's Rafael Munoz Perez in 2009.
