Cape Town - SASCOC have played their hand, revealing the names of the athletes that will represent South Africa at the 2016 Rio Olympics in August.
The first batch of athletes is set to leave for Brazil on July 23, and while all eyes will be on the likes of the Bltizboks, Chad le Clos, Cameron van der Burgh and Caster Semenya in terms of medal hopes, there are many who are just thrilled to be a part of Team South Africa.
For many, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and one that has taken years of hard work.
From the team at Sport24, we would like to congratulate every member of Team South Africa and we wish you all well at the Games!
We know you will make us proud, and we will be supporting you every step of the way.
