Sun Met 2020 set for evolution of creativity as theme announced

Cape Town - The Sun Met, Africa’s Richest Race Day, has announced African Luxury: Visionaries as the theme for 2020 as the event returns to the Kenilworth Racecourse on Saturday, February 1, 2020.

The theme calls on all race goers to feel inspired by their inner most vision, creativity and innovation and arrive ready to transform Africa’s Richest Race Day into a harmony of visionary imagination.

When asked about the theme, Gareth Flusk, Sun International Events & Entertainment Manager commented: “We want to pay homage to the visionaries. To introduce a platform where creatives of all kinds can showcase their ideas. To write and share their stories through fashion, music, tech and horse racing. Where imagination comes to life in all aspects”.

The prestigious social destination and equestrian affair is headlined by Sun International who are excited to transform Kenilworth Racecourse into the city’s most visionary stage with an evolution of creativity and style.

“It’s about the vision for Africa and stepping into 2020 with a vision for who we are as Africans and showcasing the richness of what it means to be Africa. We are excited to see what everyone’s interpretation of the theme will be”, concluded Flusk.
