Sport24 defend SuperSport Media Quiz title

Cape Town - Sport24 have successfully defended their title at this year's SuperSport Media Quiz final.

The 2017 edition, hosted at the picturesque Aquila Private Game Reserve outside Cape Town on Thursday night, once again pitted the best-of-the-best against one another.

After holding a narrow lead at the half-time dinner break, the Sport24 team - comprising Editor Garrin Lambley, chief writer Rob Houwing and content producers Herman Mostert and Lloyd Burnard - stretched their lead in the second half to run out comfortable winners.

SuperSport finished second on the night with the Port Elizabeth team, represented by Algoa FM, rounding off the podium.

Durban (East Coast Radio) and Bloemfontein (Volksblad) followed next, with Johannesburg (The Star) bringing up the rear.

SuperSport Communications Manager Clinton van der Berg congratulated Sport24 on their victory on social media, writing "Kudos to the Sport24 crew - SuperSport Quiz champs for 2017".

The win was a fourth overall title for Sport24, adding to their victories in 2011, 2014 and 2016.
