L'Ormarins Queen's Plate purse upped

Cape Town - The L'Ormarins Queen's Plate grand purse has been upped from R1 million to R1.5 million.

Following its growth and popularity with both local and international guests, LQP 2017 has extended their 18 race-card over two days, making it South Africa’s biggest horse-racing event. Furthermore, off-track entertainment will also include additional Best Dressed Woman and Best Dressed Man competitions.

Horse-racing enthusiasts and socialites alike are invited to join in the festivities on Friday and Saturday, January 6 and 7, 2017, concluding with the L'Ormarins Queen's Plate Grade 1 race on the final day of the festival at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town.
