Cape Town - South African featherweight Steven Goncalves will make his Brave Combat Federation debut against Russia’s Akhmed Magomedov in Jordan on April 19.
The pair will fight at the Al Hussein Youth City Boxing Arena at Brave 23.
Goncalves (4-1) is no longer with the EFC, having ended his tenure with the promotion with a first-round submission of Sizwe Mnikathi (6-9) in September 2018.
The sole loss of his career came via split decision to EFC interim bantamweight champion Luthando Biko (5-1) in June last year.
Meanwhile, Magomedov (5-0) previously beat Gabriel Miranda (13-5) by a unanimous decision in December to preserve his perfect record.
Goncalves’ compatriots JP Buys (6-2) and Chad Hanekom (6-1) recently severed ties with Brave, an organisation based in the kingdom of Bahrain.
