Legislate to skip Durban July

Cape Town - The connections of Saturday’s scintillating Grade 1 Rising Sun Gold Challenge winner, Legislate, have made a decision that the son of Dynasty will not run in this year’s Durban July.

The decision was made in the best interests of the horse.

Legislate was always a doubtful starter in this event.

He will however be nominated in both the Grade 1 Mercury Sprint and Grade 1 Champions Cup.

Legislate was also forced to pull out of this year's J&B Met at Kenilworth in January.
