SASCOC meets with IAAF

Johannesburg - SASCOC president Gideon Sam and CEO Tubby Reddy had a positive meeting with IAAF president Lamine Diack and his team in Monaco, on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the governing body of world athletics, was provided with an update on the setting up of an ad-hoc committee to manage the affairs of athletics in South Africa for a period of a maximum of six months.

The IAAF were also made aware of the fact SASCOC board member Ray Mali was appointed as the administrator whose task it is to manage athletics with the ad-hoc committee and eventually set up full elections of a Board for ASA.

They were informed further that the enquiry process will continue under the jurisdiction of SASCOC/ASA on all suspended Board members and staff of ASA.
