SA hockey women into semi-final

Cape Town - Two goals from the outstanding Shelley Russell saw the Investec South Africa women's hockey team beat Scotland 2-1 after leading 1-0 at halftime in the quarterfinals of the Champions Challenge in Glasgow Thursday night .

Russell's brace coming in the first and 38th minutes respectively. Ireland scored through Emily Maguire in the 64th minute.

SA will play Ireland, shock 2-1 winners over world No 8 South Korea, in Saturday's semifinals at 3pm SA time.
