PICS: The world descends on Rio

Rio de Janeiro - After what was a manic opening weekend at the Rio Olympics, there was no sign of things slowing down anytime soon on Monday. 

The Barra Olympic Park - the main precinct hosting numerous events - was buzzing once again despite it being a normal working day in Brazil. 

The Olympic Park is the ideal venue for fans to attend with arenas hosting tennis, table tennis, gymnastics, swimming, synchronized swimming, cycling, diving, judo and many others all within walking distance of each other.

You would have been forgiven for thinking it was a public holiday in Rio. 

After a swimming session that saw Chad le Clos advance to the semi-finals in the 200m butterfly, Sport24 took a walk through the Park to capture some of the international flavor on offer.
