Chad le Clos turns attention to Tokyo

Cape Town - After a less than satisfying Rio Olympic campaign, Chad le Clos has set his sights on the next Games in Tokyo in 2020.

Le Clos leaves Rio with two silvers medals - won in the 200m freestyle and 100m butterfly (where he shared the silver with American Michael Phelps and Hungary's Laszlo Cseh).

Compare that haul with London in 2012 where he clinched gold in the 200m butterfly (and also won silver in the 100m butterfly) and one can see why the 24-year-old Durbanite is "disappointed".

With his silver in the 100m butterfly in Rio, Le Clos did have the satisfaction of becoming South Africa's most decorated Olympian of all time with four medals.

Le Clos will be 28 come 2020, certainly on the older-end of the scale when it comes to a swimmer's longevity, but at least he won't have to race against Michael Phelps...
