Brown and his team-mates picked up the bronze medal after beating Japan 54-14 in the playoff for 3rd/4th at the Deodoro Stadium.

Brown was joined in the Dream Team by three members of the gold medal-winning Fijian side - Osea Kolinisau, Semi Kunatani and Josua Tuisova.

Two members of the Great Britain team who went down 43-7 to the Fijians in the final, also made the team. They were James Davies and Dan Bibby.

The seventh and final selection was Japan's Lomano Lemeki.
