Cape Town - The internet went into overdrive when Michael Phelps gave Chad le Clos a "if looks could kill" glare in the waiting area ahead of their 200m butterfly semi-final at the Rio Olympic Games.
The moment was caught on television where cameras zoomed in on the swimmers waiting in the 'ready room', which showed South Africa's Le Clos warming up by shadow-boxing in front of a disinterested and annoyed Phelps.

The following day, the American had the last laugh, winning gold and reclaiming his 200m butterfly title from Le Clos in the final.
