Cape Town - World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) boss Stephanie McMahon has announced the company's first ever all-women pay-per-view later this year, featuring over 50 stars.
After years of high-profit pay-per-view matches between male wrestlers, the WWE has finally organised its first-ever women-only PPV event.
The show, called Evolution, will air live on Sunday, October 28, from Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island in New York.
According to a press release, Evolution will feature championship matches between the women of Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, and this year's Mae Young Classic tournament, among other WWE events.
The WWE's entire women's roster will participate in the Evolution event, including favourites like Ronda Rousey, Nikki and Brie Bella, Charlotte Flair and Sasha Banks.
