UFC's McGregor to branch out into acting?

Cape Town - Conor McGregor has always expressed aspirations to branch outside of the fight game. One of those ventures was to explore films and television.

It seems a Hollywood ‘A-lister' shares the same views as the Irish superstar and has expressed his interest to work with McGregor according to Nick Strickland of MMALatestNews.com.

A superstar in his own right Mark Wahlberg is a very dedicated and busy man.

As well as being an actor he is also a very keen boxing and mixed martial arts follower.

Recently speaking with TMZ, Wahlberg revealed his interest in working with Conor McGregor, "Yeah, we talked about him (McGregor) for something. I like him. Absolutely. The right role he could be great. Very possible I would would work with him," said Wahlberg.

Wahlberg has movie called “Mile 22” coming up with former champion Ronda Rousey in 2016 and after expressing his interest in McGregor, he may be working with him sooner than expected.

McGregor (19-2) is coming off of a 13 second KO win over Josè Aldo at UFC 194, a victory in which he was crowned the undisputed UFC featherweight champion. With this win he has established himself as the promotions biggest star, and with that title come certain perks, which in this case may be a big role in a Hollywood blockbuster.

Should things fall into place for “The Notorious” one, he may become the next big crossover star to secure a career outside of fighting, thus pursuing a future on the silver screen.
