Liebenberg grabs another silver for SA

Cape Town - Anrune Liebenberg took silver for South Africa in the women's T47 400m in a time of 58.88 at the Rio Paralympic Games on Wednesday (Thursday morning SA time).

China’s Lu Li took gold in 58.09, while Sae Tsuji collected bronze for Japan in 1:00.62.

This is Liebenberg’s third Paralympic medal, as she won silver and bronze at the 2012 London Games.

The 23-year-old took South Africa’s medal tally to nine overall with her final race starting on Thursday in the women’s T47 200m race, where she claimed bronze in 2012.
