Fury weighs in heavier than Klitschko

Essen - Tyson Fury will hold a slight weight advantage over Wladimir Klitschko when he takes on the Ukrainian for his heavyweight titles in Dusseldorf on Saturday night.

The undefeated British fighter (24 wins, 18 KOs) weighed in at 112 kilograms (247 pounds), while Klitschko came in at 111.5 kilos (246 pounds) on Friday.

The 2.09m (6-foot-9) Fury had been expected to weigh more as he challenges Klitschko for his WBA, WBO and IBF belts, as well as the minor IBO title.

The 39-year-old Klitschko, whose record is 64 wins with 53 knockouts from 67 fights, is 1.98m (6-foot-6), putting him in the unusual position of fighting a taller opponent, though Fury - 12 years his junior - tends to crouch when he fights, giving some of that advantage away.
