Brock Lesnar signs new deal with WWE

Cape Town - WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar has signed a new a deal with the company that allows him to compete in UFC.

Specifics of the deal are still not clear, but reports indicate that it could keep him around until next year's Wrestlemania in April.

There has been a lot of uncertainty surrounding Lesnar's WWE future in recent months with a potential return to the UFC highly-publicised.

However, it looks like the new contract does makes provisions for him to compete in UFC.

It leaves the door open for a potential fight against UFC heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier.

Lesnar's commitment to WWE comes at a good time for boss Vince McMahon after last month's news that Roman Reigns would have to step away from the industry to fight leukaemia

Lesnar, meanwhile, reclaimed the Universal Championship at this month's Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
