Klitschko's title defence v Fury rescheduled

Berlin - Wladimir Klitschko's scheduled title fight against Britain's Tyson Fury in Dusseldorf has been rescheduled for November 28, the world heavyweight champion's camp announced on Friday.

Klitschko, 39, was due to meet Fury in Dusseldorf on October 24 for the WBA, WBO and IBF titles, but the fight was pushed back last week after the Ukrainian tore a tendon in his left calf while training.

"My injury will heal quickly enough for me to enter the ring on November 28," read a post on Klitschko's Twitter account.

"I will promptly continue my training camp preparations and, of course, I am very happy to still be fighting this year, especially for my fans who have already bought their tickets," he added.

Fury, 27, is unbeaten in 24 fights and is bidding to become the first man to defeat Klitschko since American Lamon Brewster in 2004.
