Cape Town - Justin Palframan is through to the semi-finals of the women's 200m at the IAAF World Championship after finishing fourth in her heat in a time of 23.35.

Although she did not qualify automatically, her time was quick enough to seal a semi-final berth.

Dafne Schippers of the Netherlands posted the fast time in the heats, stopping the clock in 22.63.

The semi-finals of the women's 200m take place on Thursday at 22.05.

In the women's 400m hurdles, Wenda Nel could not secure an automatic qualification in her heat where she finished third in a time of 55.70.

Unfortunately, her time was not quick enough secure one of the two other qualifying slots.
