Manyonga, Samaai take gold, bronze for SA

Cape Town - Luvo Manyonga has leaped to the gold medal in the men's long jump at the IAAF World Championships in London.

Manyonga, who had to settle for silver at last year's Rio de Janeiro Olympics, took the gold with his second round jump of 8.48m.

American Jarrion Lawson finished second with 8.44m.

Manyonga's compatriot Ruswahl Samaai took the bronze with a jump of 8.32m.
