Caster's quest for gold begins

2016-08-18 09:58

Cape Town - Caster Semenya's quest for gold at the Rio Olympics has got off to a winning start...

Semenya cruised to victory in her heat in a time of 1:59.31.

Although she'll need to go faster than that in her semi-final, that shouldn't be a problem for the 25-year-old.

Bookmakers have her a "sure" bet for the win which would double SA's gold medal tally.

Holding thumbs!
