FINA: Swimming worlds clean

Lausanne - The International Swimming Federation (Fina) confirmed Wednesday there had been no positive doping tests at the World Championships in Barcelona earlier this month.

During the competition, 378 urine samples, including 69 tested for banned blood-booster EPO, and 84 blood samples were taken.

Before the competition 358 samples were taken to test against biological passports that Fina had put in place before the Olympics in London last year.

A total of 2,195 competitors took part at the championships that included diving, water polo, synchronised swimming and open water events.
