Cyclists testify against Lance

Rouen - George Hincapie, one of Cadel Evans' key Tour de France lieutenants, is among four former team-mates of Lance Armstrong who have allegedly given evidence regarding doping against the US cycling superstar, according to a report on the BrisbaneTimes.

In a front-page report, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf says Hincapie and fellow Tour de France riders Dave Zabriskie, Christian Vande Velde and Levi Leipheimer have testified against Armstrong.

The US Anti-Doping Agency has charged Armstrong, the record seven-time Tour de France champion, with doping.

De Telegraaf said the riders received six-month suspended sentences, dated so they could ride in the Tour.

The four riders all mysteriously pulled out of the American Olympic road team a few days before the Tour.
